Do you accept insurance for counseling or psychotherapy?
I do accept insurance and I am considered "in-network" for most companies. You will need to clarify your benefits prior to scheduling an appointment for counseling.
How do I determine what my deductible and copayment will be?
You will need to contact your insurance company's customer service and ask them, "What are my
(in-network or out-of-network) outpatient mental health benefits."
How many therapy sessions should I expect to attend?
The number of therapy sessions varies. Some folks simply need one session of coaching, while others become involved in more extensive psychotherapy. Marriage counseling frequently is fewer than ten sessions.
Will counseling save my marriage? My approach focuses on helping couples to connect, cooperate and make good decisions. I feel this is the healthiest path to reconciliation, but sometimes there is "too much water under the bridge" and the promise of an improved relationship does not preserve the marriage.
